Phew! What a wonderful past week! My heart is glowing and there's a permanent grin on my face today!
I can't remember what I've posted in the past (I didn't look) so I will start with last Friday! Logically, I've been itching to make some friends and Friday night the one girl friend that I have right now invited me to go out with her and two others for a night in the town! Though they said it wasn't the best of all nights out there, I had a great time! One, because I was out with people and not alone! Two, because it was interesting to view the people and get a sense of things and so forth. It was just refreshing to get out and feel a part of something!
Our wedding ceremony went great! Before the ceremony, we invited everyone over to the apartment for mimosa's (I didn't have any, I was too busy running around trying to get ready!) then we went off the the registrar office to have the ceremony, which I thought for a small short ceremony that it went wonderfully! We played our music, we took pictures, a few of us (including me!) teared up during our promises and poetry (which I will post in the next blog!). After the ceremony, we went to this really cute cottage hotel and restaurant and had loads of wonderful food and drinks and just overall fun company! Though it was a pretty low budget wedding and there weren't many people, it could not have been any better for me! My only regret was that my parents weren't there, but I will see them soon in June! It was perfect and intimate and meaningful!
My hubby and took the next two days off of work and we relaxed did a few errands (more paperwork to change my last name for my marriage visa) before he had to go back to work and just enjoyed each others company. Today, he's back at work and I'm home relaxing. I think I'm catching a cold, so I'm just trying to kick back and re-coop and taking my vitamins trying to fight it off! (Thankfully, I've got some good supplements to fight off any sort of flu/cold bug!)
So what's next? Well, once I start working, we will be saving up for a fabulous honeymoon in the Maldives! (Look it up if you don't know about it, it's a BEAUTIFUL Island in the Indian Ocean!) They don't do legal weddings, but they do like beautiful Island ceremonies for you to remember your day and it's JUST like a wedding with cake and champagne on the beach, you get pictures, video of the ceremony, etc. It's just absolutely stunning! I would highly recommend it for a honeymoon or even just a wedding anniversary!
Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive and encouraging during this process! It has been both a hard and wonderful journey that has been worth EVERY step we have taken! It just never ceases to amaze me how God can take the sad, tragic and unfortunate situation and make a wonderful thing out of it! I'm over-flowing with awe and gratefulness!
Live, Laugh, Love.
