We are doing the South Beach Diet!

We have both been complaining that one of the other changes we need to make in our life has to do with our health and weight, so it has been decided that we will start the South Beach Diet! :)

I have gained like 20lbs since moving here and starting working and then with the combination of stress and TERRIBLE diet I've been keeping, I've been getting sick a lot as well! So, I decided that I wanted to make a change and after much debate with Dave over which diet we should choose, he was nice enough to cave in from the Atkins Diet to entertain my thoughts on the South Beach Diet! (I like that there are more options and variety in the choices of foods!) So, over the last 2 weeks we have been cleaning out the bad foods from the cupboards and fridge and got "The South Beach Diet Supercharged" book as well as the South Beach Diet Quick and Easy Cookbook and this Monday marks the starting day of our new diet! What I'm excited about is that it really isn't much different from what my daily diet is anyways. So I think I can stick to this one!

First two weeks will be difficult as I really like my carbs! I'm going to miss my pasta's and bread a LOT! LOL! I've also been having a glass of wine at night to help me wind down and that's on the "No-No" as well...So I will miss that as well...But I'm excited and committed to doing this. I really want to get down to that 125-130 range where I feel really healthy, so hopefully this will be it!

I will keep you all informed once we start! (Our first Weigh-in starts Monday morning!) Wish me luck!

Live, Laugh, Love.

Do you think I'm a fool?

Its funny that certain people always thought I would be just a pee on. Well, it's nice for once to see you sweating the bullets! You see, I hate being peed on, but I also know what goes around comes around and with a little bit of hard work and some good karma, all the sudden I don't seem so weak! I love how you think you can play the emotional cards on me such as "Leaving the love of family and close friends!"...What you don't realize is that I don't care...It's not that I don't care about the love of family and close friends mind you, because I do, it's that all my family and friends are completely supportive and excited for me about this, so trying to use them against me is pointless because I already have "their blessings". I've got the love and support from the people I CARE about! It's just that you think I'm impressionable and naive, but what it has come down to is that I say anything just to shut you up! You think your...

Annual Update!

So I am the queen at updating this blog once a year! I don't mean to neglect, but it's just been so busy for me! Life certainly keeps me on my toes these days! Big events that are worth noting for the past year: -Bought a house! It's a lovely three bedroom detached house that I can call my own, hide in to get away from the world. Decorate any way I want and fill with love! I couldn't be happier here and have really settled in well! -Got a dog! He's a year old now and named Mack. Mack is a gorgeous black lab puppy with the most loving personality and the energy of 20 kids hyped up on sugar! He is the sweetest and most exhausting little guy, but he is my baby! Here is my warning for when you visit: Beware of dog, he does not hold licker well! Haha! I love that he makes me a more active person. I walk him daily and play with him when I would probably otherwise just sit on my backside and watch TV. So he's awesome all around. -I am officially a UK CITIZEN!!! Wh...

Things I love About My New Home!

Right! So last post I told you the top 5 things I loved/missed in the U.S. today, I feel that it is a great time to tell you about all the things I love about my new home! (It will be more than 5 things...and not in any particular order as today I just don't have the energy!) Here we go! 1. The history! It literally can be seen everywhere! From the old building structures to displayed artefacts, there are signs of England's history and culture everywhere! I can't wait to see more! 2. Believe it or not, the food! I have tried so many amazing different foods from different cultures that I have become quite fond of! 3. On the few days that there is sun shining brilliantly in the sky (especially in the spring), the colours here are the most brilliant and vivid I think I have ever seen! It is absolutely fantastic and t takes your breath away! 4. Let's talk affordable amazing wine!....Enough said! 5. Let's talk affordable amazing beer...Enough said! 6. Travel ...
